The Classic Black Knob with the “push, press and turn” design helps reduce accidental stove turn-on from bumping into, or brushing the stove knobs.
Stove knobs can be accidentally turned on by leaning against the stove front, reaching for a microwave and even from mischievous pets searching for food on the stove top.
The “press, push and turn” design requires both the sides of the knob to be pressed together that enables the knob to then be pushed towards the stove and then turned to the desired setting.
RangeSafe Classic Black ™ is designed for entry and mid-price-point residential ranges. The Classic Black model weighs just 4.2 oz. This model’s bezel and knob body are made from durable plastic and the metal pushing sides are made from zinc with a black finish. The mechanical internal components of the knob are made from zinc, plastic and brass. The Classic Black model is ideal for ranges such as LG, GE, Samsung, Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, Frigidaire and other similar brands. Since stoves have different temperature dial settings, RangeSafe Safety Knobs do not have pre-printed temperature markings.
