I considered buying these for a while because of the price, but after the last episode of a knob being inadvertently turned on decided they were worth having at any price. When installing the knobs I was a little undecided about choosing the correct size inserts. Once installed the knobs work exactly as advertised. With these knobs and a plug-in gas detection alarm our concerns are resolved. Every gas stove sold with knobs on the front should come with RangeSafe knobs.

Finally, I feel safe in my own home! The Range Safe knobs work! My former Frigidaire propane gas knobs would turn the gas on with the slightest touch. This even happened after I placed the plastic "child safe" covers on them! They would allow propane gas to flow out without igniting. (Had the gas ignited, then I could at least see what was happening.) One Sunday, I returned from church and found my house full of propane. Immediately, I searched for an answer. Just wanted to say I love the new safe range knobs. We love this range, but we were constantly accidentally turning them on when, say, reaching into the microwave. Once, our dog turned one of the knobs on without firing the burner! The smell of gas was overwhelming. Thankfully, we got to it before a catastrophe. Everyone no matter if they have kids or not has the same danger posed by weak and ineffective supposedly industry-standard safety knobs that come with their gas stoves. The knobs arrived in the middle of the week and I was going to put them on right away but a family member convinced me to wait until the weekend. Friday evening when I came home from work I discovered that yet again one of our gas burners had been turned on to the full open position but not ignited therefore filling the house with gas for over three hours. We have a second-floor kitchen as it is a townhouse and the gas collected all the way down on the first floor where nobody was residing. I smelled the gas immediately coming through the first-floor door and everybody else on the second and third floors never smelled the gas as it settled to the first floor. We have a ventless gas heater on the first floor that fortunately did not have the pilot lit as it is summertime. I can’t thank you enough for the quality and safety benefit of your product and I plead with anyone that orders them to stop what you’re doing and put them on as soon as they arrive do not wait two days could be too late. Fortunately, we survived yet another serious gas danger that seems to be happening at least once or twice a month for the last 5 months since buying the house. Quality, design, safety factors, and ease of installation are why you earned a 10 out of 10.

Our firehouse just spent $12,500 on a stove oven unit. Our local code requires that the burner knobs and oven knobs have safeties on them so they cannot be put on by accident. The stove did not come with those, and the manufacturer does not make a stove with those kinds of knobs. So with purchasing 10 knobs from your company our stove meets code.

These work great! I think every gas range should automatically come with these. I was getting dishes out of the dishwasher right next to the range and bumped into the range turning it on. Then I was getting something out of the cabinet above it and turned it on. My husband went to get something from the corner counter and turned on the gas unknowingly and the house filled up with gas! At 4 am we awoke to a kitchen filled with smoke and ash, the smell of burnt metal and gas. Needless to say, we got our cats to clean air and tossed my burnt and melted crockpot. Since that issue, we removed our old knobs until yours arrived and were installed. Since putting them on my kitties have still not learned to stay off the stove but we have had no more close calls or accidentally turned on burners

We just moved into a new house and our Jenn-air burner top is great except several people have bumped into the knobs and leaked gas accidentally. I did some research and this seemed like the best fix. My shipment of the knobs came quickly but all the inserts were too small. A quick phone call to customer service and I received the correct inserts shortly after. Installation was easy and they have eliminated our leaky burner problem. Great product, but puzzling that such devices are not standard on gas ranges!

When we purchased our GE gas range in March of 2021, we never imagined or thought about the possibility that the burner top gas valves could be accidentally opened allowing gas to escape without our knowledge. When I contacted GE about this potential problem, their customer service department had no recommendation for me other than passing along my complaint to the design department.

Rather than waiting for an answer from GE, I decided to investigate safety knobs. That is when I ran across RangeSafe who offered an attractively designed knob at a fair price. Recently, one of my cats jumped up onto my stove and accidentally turned the gas on one of the burners on. I didn't smell the gas until my 6-pound chihuahua started vomiting and I walked through the kitchen to clean up. After I got everything back under control and stopped shaking from the close call, I started looking for safety knobs...not childproof covers and found these. They are awesome! They are a bit tricky to install (make sure you listen to the one direction that tells you to note the letter on the piece that fits snuggly over the pipe so you don't kick yourself) but eventually I got them all on. Between these and a new carbon monoxide/gas detector, I now have peace of mind again!
